I want to call attention to this, because I’ve played through Final Fantasy VIII a number of times without ever really knowing what the screen here said — it flickers and repeats the same text during all of the dialogue that takes place by it, and I never thought anything of it. I never really looked and didn’t believe it said anything at all. However, it does say something;
「I AM ALIVE HERE. I WILL NEVER LET YOU FORGET ABOUT ME. BRING ME BACK THERE.」
The story surrounding this is something I knew and picked up on in the game, but, likewise, I never gave it much thought. I’d love to pick the details apart, but in short, the Sorceress Adel was sealed seventeen years prior to the events of the game — she’s frozen inside a tomb that orbits the moon, and runs radio interference across the world that renders all wireless technology and communication useless. This is the only message detected, constantly, across radio waves for the last seventeen years.
There’s also something delightfully creepy about the innocent, offhanded way this backdrop was used, and all of the foreshadowing that goes with it.

not true…. used to have my hair like this in high school and you can actually see. your hair is very thin, even if you do have thick hair… its still thin. so you can see perfectly. well until your hair clumps in pieces….
